Dr. Wohl was a dentist in the Saar region. He was several times cited to the Gestapo; his cental practice was closed. In 1938 was was finally arrested, but released again, this enabled him to escape to Switzerland, where he arrived in November 1938. He lost his German citizenship in 1941 because he refused toe have the denomination "Israel" in his passport.
