JODY--Alexander, M.D., 85, died on August 15, 2007. A most dedicated physician for more than 50 years, he continued to treat patients until his health prevented him from doing so, well into his 84th year. Loving and beloved husband of Sarah Jody, father of Nina Jody and Michael Jody, stepfather of Marcy Miller and Jerry Askin. Adoring grandfather of Sophia and Luke and step-grandfather of Douglas, Elizabeth, Joshua, Amy and Jeffrey. He also leaves behind his brother Boris Jody, his son and daughters-in-law, Robert Soloway, Jamie Lerner and Bonnie Askin. Besides being a gifted and caring doctor, he spoke many languages, travelled widely, read broadly and had a great sense of humor. He will be remembered for his intelligence, gentleness, wit and the compassion he showed to others.
