(obit) Nelly Rosenberger Schwarz, 97 of Charlotte, died March 9, 2003 at White Oak Manor.
She was born on October 27, 1905 in Ruelzheim, Germany, the daughter of the late Sigmund Rosenberger and Regina Lemle Rosenberger.
Mrs. Schwarz had been a sales associate with Lord and Taylor in New York City for 20 years. She was also a professional baker and sold baked goods from her home. Nelly was well known for her cookies.
She was predeceased by her husband Seiger Schwarz, and a twin brother Rudolph Rosenberger.
She is survived by her brother Hugo Rosenberger and his wife Helga of Charlotte. Since she did not have any children of her own, Nelly was very close to her nieces and their children. She is also survived by her nieces, Jill Weiss and husband Arnold of New York, NY, and Lynn Edelstein and husband Paul of Charlotte; great nieces and nephews Mark Lerner, Gary Lerner, Eric Lerner, and Julie Lerner Levine, all of Charlotte; Keith Fisher and Kevin Fisher, both of New York, NY; as well as six great-great nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 3 PM, Tuesday, March 11, 2003 at Hebrew Cemetery, Statesville, Rd., Charlotte, NC with Rabbi Murray Ezring, officiating. Harry & Bryant company is serving the family.
