(obit) Services for Sol Stern, 84, 8855 N. Port Washington Road, Fox Point, were held Nov. 22 at the Goodman-Bensman Whitefish Bay Funeral Home. He died Nov. 20.
Stern was a native of Germany. coming to reside in New York in 1935. He came to Milwaukee in 1942 and was engaged here in the cattle business, which he owned and operated until his retirement two years ago.
He was a member of Congregation Beth Israel and the Milwaukee Jewish Home.
Stern in survived by his wife Gustel (nee Hessel), a son Norman Stern of Glendale, two sisters Mrs Erna Hessel of Fox Point, and Mrs. Hedwig Salomon of Shorewood, and two grandchildren. Rabbi Herbert Panitch officiated at services, with burial in Second Home Cemetery. The family will appreciate contributions to Congregation Beth Israel or the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
