Mrs Betty Haas, 443 Clay Ave. died Tuesday in Moses Taylor Hospital after an illness.
She was the widow of Simon Haas who died March 5, 1971
Born in Germany, daughter of the late Albert and Emma Hirsch Hirsch, she was a member of Temple Israel, its Sisterhood and Senior Hadassah.
Surviving are two sons, Curt and Eric Scranton; two daughters, Mrs Ruth Reich, Tenafly, NJ, Mrs. Ellen Goodman, Scranton; a brother, Ludwig Hirsch, Deerfield Beach, Fla., 11 grandchildren.
The funeral will be today at 2 pm from the Ziman Funeral Home, 612 Gibson St., with Rabbi Dr. Simon Shoop, and Cantors Wiliam S. Horn and Leible Flusberg, Temple Israel, officiating. Interment, Temple Israel Cemetery, Dunmore.
There will be no viewing. Shiva memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity. shiva will be observed at the family home.
