Born June 5, 1919 in Berlin, Germany, Martin S. Stokler first immigrated during World War II to Bolivia in 1938, to escape Nazi Germany, and after the war to the United States in 1953. He worked for the Lion Ribbon Company in New York City before retiring to Florida in 1976.
Mr. Stokler had a Florida Realtors license, which he renewed at the age of 90. He was an active member of the Jewish War Veterans, Temple Israel, a bowling league, Toastmasters, the Men's Club and B'nai B'rith. He enjoyed bowling, playing the casinos, travel, cooking, his condo river view, the space program, flowers and being a 2003 newlywed.
He is survived by his wife, Gerda of Cocoa Beach; and his four stepchildren, Robert Horton (Pauline) of Detroit, Michigan, Paulette Brodsky of Brewer, Maine, Vicki (Wayne) Owens of Cape Canaveral, Florida, and Howie Brodsky (Donna) of San Martin, California. Mr. Stokler had ten grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two new great-great-grandchildren, who loved his jokes and laughter.
